Hey y’all!

I’m Amanda,  I’m a mother of two beautiful little girls, and even though my life is completely crazy you won’t see me wishin’ it any other way! I want to be a college student, whose crazy enough to go through Nursing School and go after her Nurse Practitioner license. I write about anything and everything, trying to bring smiles to peoples faces in one way or another. What I say one day might make you bend over laughing, the next bring you to tears, and I have changed quite a bit over the last few years.  I am who I am, and I speak my mind no matter the subject. I am a United States Navy veteran of which I am very proud. I am working on overcoming my anxiety and my depression, I’ve struggled with my self image, cut, burned, and seriously attempted suicide. I’ve had my heart broken, and broken a few hearts of my own. I know sexual assault in it’s darkest of forms, so my life isn’t made of rainbows and sugar fairies, but I refuse to let it keep me down. This blog, is what helps me give others the same strength. That’s all I want to do.

  1. After seven years “in the service” of a branch of the Federal Government, I found someone that I loved too. It was me, finally. I had enough, left and still trying to start my actual life again. Good luck on the blog.

  2. I like it, it’s short, sweet and to the point! Gives people enough to be intrigued and want to get know you better. Also, while we were still in USA my husband used Axe Phoenix too! (Sorry, I like to cling on the things in common). And he is a military brat (his words not mine) so … sort of in common?

    1. Hey military brats are part of the military in a way, and they have to deal with the backlash of the crap military members get, so yes it’s in common!

and Isn’t it awesome? I love Axe in general, but that Phoenix boy…

and thank you for your kind words! I appreciate that!

      1. Phoenix was awesome… we don’t have it here in Croatia, closest we can find was Apollo and Excite :/. A

  3. My word you’re so young to have done so much already! And to be thinking of going into nursing next – kudos to you 😉
    P.s. I love your hair 😀

      1. Yeah, but at least you’re enjoying your life and doing what you love to do! You have a stable career with fun hobbies and your smile proves that you’re enjoying everything you do.

I’m getting there, I love my life, now I just have to work on the stable career… it’s hard but worth every minute of sweat

      2. Oh it took a loooong time for that smile to appear hun, believe me. But I can’t deny it’s here now. All the best for your future – and I hope you get what you want fast x

    1. First off, let me apologize about not getting back to you sooner. I’m usually good about it, but I’m a Stay at home mom of two rambunctious kids and it gets the best of me sometimes. I’m so sorry! I feel bad.

I’ll check out your blog right now! I bet it’s AWESOME!

      1. Thank you!! Actually I crochet and donate all scarves to Operation Gratitude. We are a group of women from all over doing this and we love it. Keep on Smilin!

      3. Thank you for your lovely compliment. I’ve been a huge supporter of the military and this is just my way of showing my appreciate for all our men and women in service. And that includes YOU! I live in an area where a lot of military families live and vets. I get a thrill every time one of the F-15’s fly over head…woot!

      1. Ain’t that the truth?! Let’s hope they keep it this way for a while, I think it’s pretty nifty.

I’m just trying to make a blog that people can run to when they need a smile, a good laugh or a place to vent. Kind of like Zoe’s, but not even close on the scale of awesome…

    1. Thank you I appreciate your kind words. 🙂 You’re a wonderful blogger, and just by exploring WordPress I found you. I read some of your stuff, and when I was done I just chose to follow instead of liking every single one I liked and blowing up your notifications bar.

  8. Thanks for visiting and the Follow, Amanda. You have a nice, refreshing way of writing and I understand what a ping back is now. God bless you!

  9. Bravo! Thank for your service to our country as a veteran. Thank you for your service to humanity as a mental health blogger. Best of luck in becoming a Nurse Practitioner. It can be tough to pursue an education while parenting kids and battling mental illness (I know first hand). God bless you. You are in my prayers.
